If you are suffering from a sinus infection (aka sinusitis) you need to read this post! I spent 9 days suffering before this simple DIY neti pot and homemade sinus irrigation solution got rid of my sinus infection almost straight away…
Sinus infections are a pain. Figuratively and literally! Mine was driving me crazy. My nose was completely blocked and I had pain above and my eyes and down my face back towards my ear. Here’s a picture showing the location of human sinuses. I warn you now: you may never be able to look at another person’s head the same way ever again after you’ve seen this…
What are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
The following is an extract from the wikipedia article on sinusitis:
Sinusitis, also known as a sinus infection or rhinosinusitis, is inflammation of the sinuses resulting in symptoms. Common signs and symptoms include thick nasal mucus, a plugged nose, and pain in the face. Other signs and symptoms may include fever, headaches, poor sense of smell, sore throat, and cough. The cough is often worse at night. Serious complications are rare. It is defined as acute rhinosinusitis (ARS) if it lasts less than 4 weeks, and as chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) if it lasts for more than 12 weeks.
How can I get rid of a sinus infection?
Do you want to know how you can cure a sinus infection? Would you like to get rid of it without messing your body up by taking antibiotics (which in any case really struggle to get rid of a bout of sinusitis)? Well, it just so happens that an extremely intelligent, good looking and modest person has made a video on this very subject. 🙂 You can watch it below.
There we are then! There’s no need to go to the doctor, who may prescribe some antibiotics, putting some more dollars into the worlds already rich pharmaceutical companies, whilst at the same time contributing to the ticking timebomb that is antibiotic resistant bacteria – which would deserve it’s own post… With my homemade sinus rinsing method you can safely, quickly and effectively tackle the problem yourself.
As I said in the video, I suffered for 9 days, waking up with blocked sinuses. The morning after I used the above method of sinus irrigation, I woke up able to breathe. It was miraculous!
