If you are suffering from a sinus infection (aka sinusitis) you need to read this post! I spent 9 days suffering before this simple DIY neti pot and homemade sinus irrigation solution got rid of my sinus infection almost straight away…
Sinus infections are a pain. Figuratively and literally! Mine was driving me crazy. My nose was completely blocked and I had pain above and my eyes and down my face back towards my ear. Here’s a picture showing the location of human sinuses. I warn you now: you may never be able to look at another person’s head the same way ever again after you’ve seen this…
What are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
The following is an extract from the wikipedia article on sinusitis:
Sinusitis, also known as a sinus infection or rhinosinusitis, is inflammation of the sinuses resulting in symptoms. Common signs and symptoms include thick nasal mucus, a plugged nose, and pain in the face. Other signs and symptoms may include fever, headaches, poor sense of smell, sore throat, and cough. The cough is often worse at night. Serious complications are rare. It is defined as acute rhinosinusitis (ARS) if it lasts less than 4 weeks, and as chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) if it lasts for more than 12 weeks.
How can I get rid of a sinus infection?
Do you want to know how you can cure a sinus infection? Would you like to get rid of it without messing your body up by taking antibiotics (which in any case really struggle to get rid of a bout of sinusitis, and in many cases are both ineffective and unnecessary)? Well, I made a video on this very subject, which has been watched over 800,000 times. 🙂 You can see the video below:
There we are then! There’s no need to go to the doctor, who may prescribe some antibiotics, putting some more dollars into the worlds already rich pharmaceutical companies, whilst at the same time contributing to the ticking timebomb that is antibiotic resistant bacteria – which in itself is a subject which would deserve it’s own post… With my homemade sinus rinsing method you can safely, quickly and effectively tackle the problem yourself.
As I said in the video, I suffered for 9 days, waking up with blocked sinuses. The morning after I used the above method of sinus irrigation, I woke up able to breathe. It was miraculous!
I have had comments from people on YouTube telling me that this technique has been ‘a miracle worker’. Here’s one example of a viewer who had even undergone surgery to alleviate his chronic congestion – which made no difference to his symptoms – who has had excellent results with my technique:
There are many other comments like this on the video, so it’s not just me that this worked for!

Thanks for sharing this video Chris.
I would like to share the additional 3 details below:
1. This is more suitable definition “Homemade Bigger Volume Sinus Rinse System” Neti pot is defined as high volume sinus washing without pressure and sinus rinse is defined as high volume nasal washing with pressure. With this bottle you can make pressure and I think it may be very effective for especially treatment of atrophic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and other nasal mucosal problems.
2. You can disinfect with hot water + natural soap mixture shaking the plastic bottle. After the using the cover must be open. Normally sinus rinse bottle must be changed after the every one month. This bottle may be changed more often.
3. This method is not suitable for patients with any ear drum problems, ear surgery or nasal surgery (recently completed). Before using patients with these conditions must be talk with their ENT surgeon. Thanks for sharing again and greetings from Istanbul
